Self-assurance

The National Vocational Education and Training Regulator (Compliance Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations and Fit and Proper Person Requirements) Instrument 2025 is now in effect. This includes amendments to the Fit and Proper Person Requirements (FPPRs). Providers have an obligation to ensure that all staff involved in VET delivery meet the FPPRs.

An amended Fit and Proper Person Requirements Instrument under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 is now in place.

ASQA has released a report on the outcomes of the third phase of research to co-design with the VET sector, a working model for self-assurance.

ASQA is seeking your views on the draft self-assurance model which was co-designed with the VET sector.

We are continuing to co-design a model for self-assurance with the sector, and have now released the draft model.

Our first round of provider engagement to co-design a self-assurance model with the VET sector is underway. The model will support providers to monitor, evaluate and improve their own performance against the Standards.

As part of our regulatory reforms, and contribution to improving confidence in the VET sector, we have initiated a 4-year program of work to co-design a model for self-assurance with the sector.
