Annual Declaration on Compliance: submit by 17 May
The Annual Declaration on Compliance (ADC) is open until 17 May 2023 – ASQA has emailed the unique weblink of the online declaration to all CEOs of ASQA-regulated RTOs.
The Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 require all RTOs to submit an ADC.
If your RTO CEO has not received the unique weblink from ASQA, it should take the following steps:
- Check their spam/junk mail folder.
- Check that the email address for your CEO contact is correctly listed on training.gov.au. If the address is incorrect, the RTO should update the contact details in asqanet, and then contact the ASQA Info Line to request that ASQA re-send the email.
- If none of the above apply, the RTO should contact ASQA and advise that the RTO has not received the email.
Do you need to submit the ADC?
New RTOs
Check your initial registration date on training.gov.au: RTOs registered from 1 January 2023 do not need to submit the ADC this year.
RTOs registered on or before 31 December 2022 need to submit the ADC.
RTOs managed by Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA)
If the registration of your RTO is managed by QCAA, you do not need to submit the ADC to ASQA. QCAA has a separate submission process this year – contact QCAA for more information.
Completing the declaration
To complete the declaration, you will need to assess your training organisation’s compliance with the Standards.
In most cases, if providers have been self- assuring their practices, systems, and processes during the year it typically takes between 15 and 30 minutes to complete.
While more than one person in your organisation may contribute to the online declaration, the final declaration needs to be completed by the person legally responsible for the registration of the RTO (the CEO).
