ASQA is currently examining data from the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) for RTOs that have reported they have delivered no training over the past few years.

13 June 2018

The Data Provision Requirements 2012 require all RTOs registered with ASQA to provide an annual summary report of their performance against the learner engagement and employer satisfaction quality indicators to ASQA.

27 March 2018

All RTOs have an obligation to report to the VET national provider collection – that is, to complete Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS) reporting.

27 February 2018

The Standards for RTOs 2015 require each RTO to provide ASQA with an annual declaration on its compliance with the Standards.

26 February 2018

Each ASQA-registered RTO must meet mandatory annual data submission requirements, including submitting the annual declaration on compliance to ASQA and submitting total VET activity (TVA) data, including reporting unique student identifier (USI) data.

11 December 2017

ASQA-registered RTOs will be asked to submit total VET activity data for the 2017 calendar year, including full AVETMISS data, in early 2018.

11 December 2017

A new National VET Data Policy was agreed by Skills Ministers at the COAG Industry and Skills Council meeting on 24 November 2017.

15 March 2017

If you have not reported data through a state training authority or board of school studies, you must report directly to NCVER.

10 February 2017

ASQA has been made aware that there are companies contacting RTOs offering to assist in completion of the declaration.

20 December 2015

RTOs can begin reporting 2015 AVETMISS data from 4 January 2016.
