The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) has tabled its Annual Report 2022–23 in the Australian Parliament, outlining our activities and performance for 2022–23.

Delivery to international students, continues to be a regulatory priority for ASQA and a focus across government.

ASQA is concerned about some practices by registered training organisations (RTOs) delivering training and assessment for CPP41419: Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice, CPP51122: Diploma of Property (Agency Management) and CPP40521: Certificate IV in Strata Community Management.

Announcements were made last week regarding the Government’s investment in ASQA and its role in strengthening integrity in the VET sector.

ASQA has approved an extended transition period for UEE41920 Certificate IV in Electrical – Renewable Energy, UEE42020 Certificate IV in Electrical – Photovoltaic Systems, UEE43120 Certificate IV in Energy Efficiency and Assessment, UEE50120 Diploma of Computer Systems Engineering, UEE50711 Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering, UEE60920 Advanced Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering, UEE62020 Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology – Renewable Energy and UEE41220 Certificate IV in Electrical – Rail Signalling.

ASQA has welcomed the investment announced earlier today by the Australian Government in our compliance, investigative and enforcement capabilities to strengthen our response to integrity issues in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.

ASQA has approved an extended transition period for AMP30316 Certificate III in Meat Processing (Meat Safety), AMP30616 Certificate III in Meat Processing (General), AMP30716 Certificate III in Meat Processing (Quality Assurance), AMP40415 Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Quality Assurance) and AMP40516 Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Meat Safety).

ASQA has approved an extended transition period for FWP20121 Certificate II in Forest Operations and FWP30121 Certificate III in Forest Operations.
