Linda Manning's advice for supporting students through assessment:
- know your cohort
- assessment should reflect the potential workplace that the learners are likely to be working in
- keep the jargon out of the assessments and ensure the instructions are clear
- consider adjustments to meet the language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) needs of your learners

Linda has significant expertise in managing and delivering vocational training and has a number of memberships and affiliations across the VET sector. Her career experience includes nine years at Charles Darwin University, in roles as Team Leader of Sales and Personal Services, Acting Director of VET Programs, Acting Team Leader of Tourism, Hospitality, Business Central, and Training and Assessment Lecturer. Before immigrating to Australia, Linda was a lecturer and business owner in the United Kingdom.
