There are five stages involved in accrediting a course:
- Stage 1—Preliminary research and consultation.
- Stage 2—Course development.
- Stage 3—Course design and submission.
- Stage 4—Assessment.
- Stage 5—Decision.
Which form do I use?
The Application for course accreditation form—initial or renewal (DOC) must be used.
Is there a fee?
The fee for initial course accreditation is $8070 per course.
A full list of fees and charges is available in the Guide to ASQA’s fees and annual registration charges from 1 July 2017.
How long does accreditation take?
Timeframes for course accreditation vary depending on a range of factors, including the quality of your submission.
You should allow at least six months for assessment of your application. In most cases, if your submission is complete, and is developed and completed in accordance with the Standards for VET Accredited Courses 2012 and the Australian Qualifications Framework, your application will be processed within six months.
