ASQA webinar—Working together towards effective self-assurance.

ASQA is taking a staged approach to promoting a culture of self-assurance and continuous improvement, to support improved training outcomes in the VET sector. This work is part of a suite of VET quality reforms aiming to improve training outcomes for students and employers.

We are working with training providers to co-design a model for self-assurance.

The 2025 Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) came into effect on 1 July 2025 and are enabled by the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 and represent all Governments’ shared ambition to lift quality across the VET sector, through enabling a more flexible, robust and quality-driven approach to regulation.

ASQA has developed Practice Guides to support providers’ understanding of our regulatory expectations against the revised Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), which came into full regulatory effect on 1 July 2025.

ASQA will engage with the sector ahead of the revised Standards taking full regulatory effect on 1 July 2025. ASQA will publish an engagement calendar of events to inform and educate providers soon.
