Information for students of Southern Edge Training
The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is currently working to secure the records of students enrolled with Southern Edge Training Pty Ltd (RTO number 4074), which entered voluntary liquidation on 30 June 2016.
SET students may have recently received a letter from the Victorian Department of Education and Training containing information about options for continuing their studies and eligibility for government-subsidised training.
ASQA is in contact with the company’s liquidator, who has advised that electronic student records will be transferred to ASQA this week.
Once ASQA has the records, students will be able to make an application to ASQA for information about the competencies they have completed. This information will be provided in a letter from ASQA and can be used for credit transfer with another training provider or may be used towards recognition of prior learning (RPL).
Applications can be made by completing an Application for a copy of student records form.
Information regarding alternative training providers can be found via the My Skills website or the National Register.
