A special message for Tasmanian RTOs from Skills Tasmania

Does your organisation provide vocational education and training services for children in Tasmania? If so, new worker registration requirements may apply.

From 1 August 2017, Tasmania’s Working with Vulnerable People Registration will be extended to vocational education and training services provided for children. The new requirements aim to reduce the potential for harm or neglect of children in Tasmania.

Registration applications can be commenced online (www.justice.tas.gov.au/working_with_children). Application processing can take up to six weeks, so apply early to ensure registration prior to 1 August 2017.
