ASQA has established a range of mechanisms for identifying and assessing the risks posed by providers.

In 2015, ASQA conducted an offshore performance assessment pilot in order to test the quality of offshore VET, trial the offshore Regulating offshore delivery of VET: ASQA’s 2015 pilot performance assessment program process and develop an effective offshore regulatory strategy.

ASQA conducted a self-assessment against the Australian Government’s Regulator Performance Framework’s key performance indicators at the conclusion of 2016-17.

ASQA began this report in response to concerns about fatalities resulting from restraint or intervention by security personnel. Coroners’ reports and stakeholder feedback suggested ongoing training and assessment issues within the security industry.
