Past consultation—on proposed ASQA fees and charges 2020-21

In November and December 2019, ASQA invited the VET sector to provide feedback on ASQA’s Fees and charges proposal 2020-21 consultation paper (PDF).

The consultation paper proposed measures to support ASQA's move to full cost recovery from 1 July 2020.

ASQA's move to full cost recovery has been postponed until 1 January 2022, as part of a package of measures announced on 30 April 2021 to lift the financial pressures on vocational education and training (VET) providers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

ASQA's 2021-22 fees and charges schedule will be determined and published on asqa.gov.au before 31 December 2021. This process will include public consultation on proposed fees and charges for 2021-22 and approval by Skills Ministers.
