How we consult on fees and charges

ASQA commenced the second round of consultation on proposals to implement the Australian Government’s decision that ASQA will implement full cost recovery from 1 July 2022.

As part of reviewing our fees and charges, ASQA continues engaging with VET sector stakeholders to seek feedback. We want to hear from you about the proposed schedule of fees and charges to take effect from July 2022. These are outlined in the draft Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (draft CRIS).

You are encouraged to review the draft CRIS and provide feedback on ASQA’s proposed fees and charges. We will carefully consider all feedback received by Wednesday 9 February 2022 and incorporate any necessary changes to the final CRIS and will be published on our website before 1 July 2022.

Past consultation

The first round of consultation on implementation of the Australian Government’s decision that ASQA move to full cost recovery commenced in late 2019. ASQA invited feedback on ASQA’s Fees and charges proposal 2020-21 consultation paper (PDF).

That first round consultation paper proposed measures to support ASQA's move to full cost recovery from 1 July 2020.

ASQA's move to full cost recovery was postponed until 1 July 2022, as part of a package of measures announced on 25 November 2021 to lift the financial pressures on vocational education and training (VET) providers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
