Requirements and responsibilities

Before applying to ASQA to become a registered training organisation (RTO), you must be prepared to meet certain requirements.

As an RTO, you must continue to comply with these same requirements.

All RTOs must be prepared to comply with the legislative components of the VET Quality Framework.

Information about general directions, annual declaration on compliance, changes to detail and legal entity, third party agreements, mergers, and change of ownership.

Information on Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications, the Unique Student Identifier (USI), Qualification documentation and logos.

You must meet specific criteria in order to offer training products from the Training and Education (TAE) Training Package.

All RTOs are required collect and report on a range of data about their business and operations

You will need to meet certain licensing and registration requirements in order to offer some courses.
