Training for the White Card for Australia’s Construction Industry, 2013

This review responds to stakeholder concerns about the quality of training in a particular unit of competency.

‘CPCCOHS1001A – Work safely in the construction industry’ is also known as the 'White Card'. This unit is a mandatory entry-level unit for people seeking to work on construction sites in Australia. Industry stakeholders raised concerns that graduates may not have received adequate training to work safely on construction sites.

The review makes six recommendations, involving both ASQA and VET sector stakeholders.

Review of the ‘White Card’ unit of competency
