ASQA has released the second version of our Practice Guides to support provider compliance with the 2025 Standards for registered training organisations (RTOs).
The updated guides continue to provide examples of compliant activities, risks to quality outcomes to avoid, and self-assurance questions to support continuous improvement.
The updated Practice Guides include:
- more examples of compliant activities and risks to quality outcomes, including those related to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in vocational education and training (VET)
- case studies demonstrating how components of the 2025 Standards may be applied in different operational settings
- responses to frequently asked questions received during ASQA’s provider workshops and engagement activities
- a simpler, more user-friendly layout that improves readability and accessibility.
These changes are intended to make the guides more relevant and practical for providers to use as they strengthen quality systems and processes.
The Version 2 guides should be read alongside the relevant legislation and policy guidance so that providers understand their full regulatory obligations and the intent of the 2025 Standards for RTOs.
The updated Practice Guides are available on ASQA’s website.
