Governance & accountability

As a statutory agency, we follow government accountability requirements. Each year, we report on our performance to the Australian Parliament. We also appear before the Senate Estimates committee three times a year.

Our Risk Management Framework helps us meet the Australian Government’s vision for growth, prosperity and economic recovery.

About reporting and accountability

As a non-corporate Commonwealth agency, we must meet specific government accountability requirements.

APS employee census results

The APS employee census is an annual survey that collects confidential information from APS staff on important workplace issues.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Transparency Statement

ASQA uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the effectiveness and quality of our services, while employing the highest standards of ethics, safety and public trust.

ASQA Emissions Reduction Plan

ASQA is committed to the achievement of the Government’s APS Net Zero 2030 target, and is following the target in full, as per the Net Zero in Government Operations Strategy.

Child safety policy

ASQA is committed to fulfilling its responsibilities under the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework and complies with all applicable state, territory and Commonwealth legislation.

Financial reporting

As an Australian Government-controlled not-for-profit entity, ASQA is required to publish certain financial documents

Freedom of information

The Freedom of Information Act 1982 gives you the right to request access to government‑held information. This page explains how to make an FOI request, what you can expect from the process, and where to find information already released.

Gifts and benefits register

The Australian Public Service Commission requires all agency heads to publicly disclose all gifts or benefits accepted, valued at over $AUD100.00.
