If you fail to submit a complete renewal application at least 90 days before your expiry date, you will not be able to access the renewal application form in asqanet.
This deadline applies to providers registered under either the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (NVR Act) or the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act), or both.
If you know there may be a delay in making your renewal application, you should notify ASQA at the earliest possible opportunity - where possible, prior to the 90-day deadline.
We can consider a request to allow application until your registration expires. The request must:
- Provide evidence of the reasons for the delay
- provide details in relation to student enrolments
- Provide evidence of the impact that would occur if the application was not allowed
- Confirm that you are in a position to submit your renewal immediately (if approval is granted).
It is your responsibility to have key personnel available to meet your regulatory obligations at all times. We will not allow application inside the deadline on the basis that key staff members were unavailable.
Other unacceptable reasons may include:
- a decision to not pay the renewal invoice
- forgetting to make the renewal application
- failure to receive reminder notifications due to incorrect or out-of-date contact details.
To request approval to apply for renewal inside the deadline you must complete and submit the form linked below:
