ASQA has published its Corporate Plan 2026–27, which sets out our purpose, strategic objectives, operating context, key activities and performance measures. It also supports transparency and accountability in how we regulate the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
The Corporate Plan aligns with Australia’s VET sector entering a new chapter – one that demands ambition and steadiness. It reflects a period of genuine transformation for the sector, the regulatory framework, and for ASQA as an organisation.
“The Corporate Plan sets out how ASQA will meet that challenge over the next 4 years. It reflects a period of genuine transformation – for the sector, for the regulatory framework, and for ASQA as an organisation,” ASQA CEO Ms Rice said.
"The 2025 Standards for Registered Training Organisations, which came into effect on 1 July 2025, are the most significant change to VET regulation in a generation. They signal a shift in how we think about quality – from prescriptive compliance to genuine, outcomes-focused practice.
“Protecting the integrity of the VET sector remains equally critical. Our Integrity Unit continues to target non-genuine providers and bad faith actors, working in close partnership with law enforcement, other regulators and state and territory governments.
“We are operating in a demanding environment, but we are doing so with clarity about our purpose, confidence in our approach, and genuine commitment to the sector we regulate.”
