Key legislation

A critical network of legislation and standards supports our work.

This network determines how we regulate, the criteria we apply and the targets we meet.

Recent legislative changes

This page outlines recent regulatory changes and how our agency assesses and responds to recent legislative changes within our regulatory remit.

VET Quality Framework

We apply the VET Quality Framework for national consistency in registering providers, monitoring providers and enforcing provider standards.

Standards for VET Accredited Courses

Under these Standards, we regulate accredited VET courses. This includes course design.

Standards for VET Regulators

These Standards describe a series of outcomes that regulators must achieve.

ESOS framework

The ESOS Framework governs education services for overseas students. We monitor and assess provider compliance with the framework.
