Annual Declaration on Compliance: submit by 31 March 2026

3 March 2026

The 2026 Annual Declaration on Compliance (ADC) is open until 31 March 2026. ASQA emailed a unique weblink to the online declaration to all Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of ASQA-regulated registered training organisations (RTOs) on 3 March 2026.

The National Vocational Education and Training Regulator (Compliance Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations and Fit and Proper Person Requirements) Instrument 2025 requires all RTOs to submit an ADC by the due date.

If your organisation’s CEO did not receive the unique weblink from ASQA, you should take the following steps:

  • Check your CEO’s spam/junk email folder.
  • Check that the email address for your CEO contact is correctly listed on training.gov.au. If the address is incorrect, update the contact details in asqanet, and then submit an enquiry using our online form to request that ASQA re-send the email.
  • If the issue remains unresolved, contact ASQA and advise that you have not received the email.

The ADC is a regulatory requirement and underpins a fundamental obligation of all providers to engage with the regulator and provide accurate information. Alongside our broad intelligence holdings, the ADC enables us to monitor a provider’s commitment to quality VET.

Do you need to submit the ADC?

New RTOs

RTOs registered on or before 31 December 2025 must submit the ADC. You can check your initial registration date on training.gov.au.

RTOs managed by Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA)

If the registration of your RTO is managed by QCAA, you do not need to submit the ADC to ASQA. QCAA has a separate submission process – contact QCAA for more information.

Completing the declaration

To complete the declaration, you will need to assess your training organisation’s compliance with the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (NVR Act) – inclusive of the Outcome Standards and Compliance Requirements. You will be asked to declare compliance or non-compliance against specific obligations. You will have an opportunity to provide information about non-compliances at the end of the declaration. This year you will need to declare that you are complying with the 2025 Standards since they came into effect on 1 July 2025.

In most cases, if providers have been using self-assurance to monitor their practices, systems, and processes routinely throughout the year, the ADC will take between 15 and 30 minutes to complete.

While more than one person in your organisation may assist in answering the questions, the final declaration must be completed by the person legally responsible for the registration of the RTO (the CEO).
