An ASQA delegation is when we allow selected organisations to exercise delegated course accreditation functions in accordance with a formal delegation instrument.
Delegated organisations may accredit eligible courses without applying or paying a course application or assessment fee.
Course accreditation delegations are approved for organisations that demonstrate:
- Mature governance and quality assurance arrangements
- Strong course development and accreditation capability
- Independent and evidence-based decision-making processes
- Effective industry engagement and stakeholder consultation practices
- Appropriate systems to manage risks associated with accredited course development and accreditation activities.
Organisations enter into a delegation agreement with ASQA which outlines the responsibilities of both parties, reporting requirements, assurance arrangements and any applicable conditions.
Delegations are granted at ASQA's discretion and may be varied, suspended or revoked in accordance with the terms of the delegation.
