ASQA decided to:

  1. Suspend, under s 36(2)(e) and s 38 of the NVR Act, the following parts of the RTO’s scope of registration:
    1. CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry
    2. CPC30611 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
    3. CPC32612 Certificate III in Roof Plumbing
    4. CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)
    5. And any new training package product that would be automatically added to the scope of registration because it is equivalent to one which appears above; and

During the period of suspension require, under s 38(2) of the NVR Act, the RTO not to:

  1. enrol a student in a suspended VET course or part of a suspended VET course
  2. allow a VET student to begin a suspended VET course or part of a suspended VET course § publish or broadcast an advertisement relating to a suspended VET course or any part of a suspended VET course, or
  3. cause to be published or broadcast an advertisement relating to a suspended VET course or any part of a suspended VET course.

with effect 35 calendar days after the date the RTO is given written notice of the decision.

Review information

Following reconsideration, ASQA decided to vary the decision to the following:

  1. Not suspend, under s 36(2)(e) and s 38 of the NVR Act, the following parts of the RTO’s scope of registration:
    1. CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry
    2. CPC30611 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
    3. CPC32612 Certificate III in Roof Plumbing
    4. CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)
    5. And any new training package product that would be automatically added to the scope of registration because it is equivalent to one which appears above; and
  2. Give a written direction, under s35A of the NVR Act, requiring the organisation to:
    1. rectify the breach of condition by addressing each non-compliance detailed in the audit report within 20 working days of the date of the notice; and
    2. retain evidence the written direction has been complied with for examination at a future regulatory activity.
