Standards for RTOs

  • Revised Standards for RTOs

    The Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) is revising the Standards with the aim of providing greater clarity for RTOs and regulators, strengthening the focus on quality outcomes for learners and employers, and allowing for more flexibility and innovation in training delivery.

  • Understanding self-assurance

    In 2020, we commenced a program of work to gain better understanding of self-assurance practices in the sector and used this to inform the transition of our regulatory approach with a greater focus on self-assurance.

  • Self-assurance through the Standards

    In recent years, ASQA has been working closely with the sector to increase the focus on how RTOs monitor and evaluate, continuously improve and manage risk to quality training outcomes.

  • Self-assurance

    ASQA is taking a staged approach to promoting a culture of self-assurance and continuous improvement, to support improved training outcomes in the VET sector. This work is part of a suite of VET quality reforms aiming to improve training outcomes for students and employers.
