ASQA will not accept late submission of the 2021 declaration. We advise providers to commence the declaration form well in advance of the 31 March 2021 deadline. If you did not receive an email, please see below (‘I didn’t receive an email with a unique URL to the survey—what do I do?’).
Before attempting to complete this declaration, you are advised to conduct an assessment of your RTO’s compliance with the Standards and conditions of registration and to ensure that the information that ASQA holds about your RTO is correct.
Self-assessment is a useful process for all RTOs to undertake regularly.
Many RTOs will already have templates and tools that they use to conduct regular self-assessments. If you do not already have a system in place for regular self-assessments, you may choose to use ASQA’s Self-Assessment Tool to prepare for your annual declaration.
We typically include information on pending deadlines (such as the deadlines to submit data) on the ASQA website and in the ASQA Update, with a reminder also sent to each RTO. However, it is up to every RTO to ensure you comply with the VET Quality Framework, which includes the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 and Data Provision Requirements. Failure to report full and accurate data as and when required can result in ASQA taking regulatory action.
The declaration may only be submitted once. If you have completed the annual declaration on compliance, a message will appear confirming your submission when you click on the link provided in the original email sent by ASQA.
Due to the large number of survey enquires during this time, please email your enquiry and contact number to the ASQA Info Line at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to assist you as quickly as possible.
To support the sector dealing with and recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, RTOs who are unable to submit their quality indicator data will not face regulatory action for the current reporting period.
While some providers may not be able to report their data on this occasion, ASQA still expects all providers to maintain feedback systems that enable them to understand and continuously improve their performance and monitor outcomes for students and employers.
If you can, please submit your quality indicator data in accordance with the guidance on the ASQA website by 30 June 2021 to email@example.com. Find out more
