Following on from its November 2012 decision to mandate reporting of VET activity for all RTOs, on 7 June 2013 the Standing Council on Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment (SCOTESE) endorsed the standards and policy which will underpin the implementation of the new reporting requirements.
From 1 January 2014, RTOs must collect and report full AVETMISS data, in accordance with the National VET Provider Collection Data Requirements Policy. The standards for RTOs (both the Data Provision Requirements as part of the VET Quality Framework and the Australian Quality Training Framework) have now been amended to reflect the changes to reporting requirements.
