ASQA’s information sessions roadshow is in progress

10 November 2014

Last week, ASQA began its program of information sessions for registered training organisations. These 26 sessions are running in 16 metropolitan and regional centres across Australia.

The current RTO Information Sessions are targeted at the CEOs and training managers of currently registered RTOs, and due to limited places, each ASQA-registered RTO is limited to two attendees. These sessions are invite-only.

Q. I am an RTO Chief Executive registered to attend a session, where can I find the details?

If you received an email invite and completed the registration process, you will receive a confirmation email a few days before your session. If you do not receive this email, please contact enquiries [at] asqa.gov.au

Please note, registration for all of these events opens from 8.30 and the sessions commence promptly at 9.00 am.

Q. I want to register for a session but I’m not the Chief Executive of an ASQA-registered RTO

If you’re not the Chief Executive ASQA-registered RTO and you would like to attend a session, you can:

  • If you're a consultant or a VET sector stakeholder— communications [at] asqa.gov.au (subject: I%20am%20a%20VET%20Sector%20Stakeholder%20or%20Consultant%20and%20I%20would%20like%20to%20register%20my%20interest%20in%20attending%20a%20session) (Sign up for the VET Stakeholder and Consultant Information Sessions). These sessions are currently being scheduled for December 2014, and invites will be sent out shortly. These are half-day sessions and will be targeted towards the information needs of consultants and other VET sector stakeholders.

Q. When will resources from the sessions be available on ASQA’s website?

Key resources from the sessions, including presentations and worksheets, will be available on the ASQA website from next week.

Video of the sessions will be available from the ASQA website from early December.

Frequently asked questions from the sessions will be compiled throughout November and early December, and will be published to the website in December.

Q. When will comprehensive information about the new Standards be available on ASQA’s website?

You can access the comprehensive Users’ Guide to the Standards for RTOs from ASQA’s site now. Additional materials, including fact sheets and responses to frequently asked questions, will be available before the Standards are introduced in January. ASQA will also be developing information throughout the next few months on the transition process, including mapping information.

Q. Will I get a certificate of attendance?

Yes. If you provided your email address, you will receive a certificate. Certificates will be distributed by email after the last session in early December 2014.
