Annual Declaration on Compliance – feedback
Each year, the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (the Standards) require providers to submit an Annual Declaration on Compliance. This process is beneficial for several reasons, including an opportunity for providers to review their operations and identify any potential issues. We continue to review this process and look forward to introducing further enhancements over the coming year.
The most recent results show that most providers report they can meet all of their obligations in regard to the Standards. However, some providers report issues related to failing to maintain Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS), and where an assessment validation is not up to date. Providers who do not meet the Standards present a risk of not delivering quality training or delivering training that does not meet industry requirements. The most recent Spotlight On series, provides guidance for providers to better prepare for assessment validation.
