Applicants for initial registration on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) must pay an initial application lodgement fee, and an initial application assessment fee.
CRICOS providers delivering English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) are subject to the same fees as other CRICOS providers. Non-award ELICOS programs are covered under ASQA's definition of ‘qualification’ for the purpose of calculating registration fees.
For a full list of fees and charges, please read the Guide to ASQA fees and charges 2018-19 (PDF).
CRICOS registration—Initial lodgement fee
The initial lodgement fee is $500 per application.
ASQA will issue an invoice for this fee after you complete your application in asqanet for initial registration as a CRICOS provider.
Upon payment, ASQA will conduct a completeness check of your application.
CRICOS registration—Initial assessment fee
The minimum initial assessment fee is $8,000 per application. This amount covers registration for up to four qualifications and up to two delivery sites.
For each additional qualification, applicants must pay an extra fee of $155.
For each additional Australian delivery site, applicants must pay an extra fee of $1,640.
Cap on total fees for initial CRICOS registration
The maximum total fee for applications for initial CRICOS registration is $50,000. The initial lodgment fee and the initial assessment fee both contribute to this cap.
