If you are applying for Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) registration, you will first need to demonstrate that your proposed business is financially viable.
The ASQA financial viability risk assessment pack requires you to answer to a series of questions about your organisation’s financial viability, including financial projections and business ratios. You will need an accountant's help to complete the pack.
The pack can also help you to gain a realistic understanding of the financial requirements of becoming a CRICOS provider. Working with your accountant means that you develop an independent assessment of the sustainability of your proposed business.
You can submit your pack up to 30 days before you submit your initial registration application or with your initial registration application.
If you submit an application for initial CRICOS registration without the financial viability risk assessment pack, ASQA will consider your application incomplete. (If your application is incomplete, ASQA will notify you and provide you with 10 working days to submit any outstanding items. If you do not provide all the required information and evidence within this 10-day timeframe, your application will be rejected. If you wish to apply again, you will need to complete a new application and pay a new application lodgement fee.)
