Stage 4—Assessment

During this stage, your application will be evaluated by an ASQA Accreditation Assessor, who will assess the application against the Standards for VET Accredited Courses 2012Standards for Training Packages and the Australian Qualifications Framework.

ASQA evaluates all applications in accordance with requirements of the Standards for VET Regulators 2015, which focus on national consistency, client service and responsive management systems.

The Assessor may seek advice and information from relevant external bodies to verify the need for the course and/or validate information provided in the application.

Evaluation report

An evaluation report documenting the findings of compliance or non-compliance with each of the standards may be prepared.

If ASQA identifies non-compliance, you have one opportunity to rectify the non-compliance and resubmit a revised course document. You must submit the rectified course document within 20 working days of the date you are notified of the non-compliance. The revised course document will then be reassessed against the Standards for VET Accredited Courses 2012Standards for Training Packages and the Australian Qualifications Framework.
