Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA)
The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) regulates and assures the quality of Australia’s higher education sector. TEQSA was established by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011 and assumed its full regulatory functions in January 2012.
ASQA and TEQSA agreed a Memorandum of Understanding, which details how the two regulators are streamlining the national regulatory approach for ‘multisector providers’—providers offering both vocational education and training and higher education.
