Consultation on the establishment of ASQA
The legislation to establish ASQA was developed following extensive consultation with those most affected by its establishment: the state regulators, industry groups and VET providers. The consultation process helped create a new regulatory framework that is responsive to the needs of the Australian community.
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations undertook consultation on the shape of the legislation with key industry groups, as well as open consultations with training providers and other stakeholders, in 2010.
