Qualifications help

The Australian Skills Quality Authority has functions relating to qualifications under Part 4, Division 1, Section 55-59 of the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011.

These include issuing replacement qualifications, and, in rare cases, cancelling VET qualifications and VET statements of attainment.

Ensure a qualification is nationally recognised

To check a course or qualification is recognised by the industry they wish to work in, students should content the relevant Industry Skills Council—www.isc.org.au.

Help with choosing qualifications

ASQA’s functions do not include advising potential students on which course to study or which institutions to study at. Potential students are advised to search www.training.gov.au database for qualifications in particular fields.
