Maintaining compliance

A CRICOS provider must be able to demonstrate (where applicable) ongoing compliance with the:

A CRICOS provider must ensure it complies with the conditions of its registration. These conditions include those that apply to all providers (as described in the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011), as well as any specific conditions imposed on the registration of the particular provider by ASQA.

CRICOS providers must (where applicable):
  • comply with the VET Quality Framework, including
    • the Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations
    • the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)
    • the Data Provision Requirements
  • comply with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act
  • comply with the National Code of Practice 2007
  • comply with the ELICOS Standards
  • comply with the Foundation Program Standards 
  • satisfy fit and proper person requirements
  • satisfy financial viability risk assessment requirements
  • notify ASQA of material changes to their organisation or its legal status 
  • provide information to ASQA on request
  • cooperate with ASQA
  • comply with ASQA’s general directions, and
  • comply with specific conditions place on individual RTOs.

CRICOS providers will be notified in writing of any conditions, or changes to conditions, imposed on their registration.

Update provider details

CRICOS providers must keep ASQA informed of any material changes to their operations and/or legal status.

Use the 'Notification of material change or event' form to do this. (Please note, this form should not be used for changes to qualifications or sites on CRICOS register. Make these changes using the 'Application to amend CRICOS registration' form.)
