Become a registered training organisation
Registered training organisations (RTOs)
Only RTOs can issue Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) qualifications and statements of attainment in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
RTOs are providers and assessors of nationally recognised training.
Training organisations wishing to become RTOs must be registered with ASQA if they operate within ASQA’s jurisdiction.
Registration with ASQA
At present, ASQA registers RTOs in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania, South Australia and the Northern Territory, and some RTOs in Victoria and Western Australia.
ASQA-registered training organisations must meet the requirements for registration, including the requirements in the VET Quality Framework.
VET Quality Framework
The VET Quality Framework is a set of standards and conditions that ASQA uses to assess whether an RTO meets the requirements for registration.

Training packages
A Training Package is a set of nationally endorsed standards and qualifications used to recognise and assess the skills and knowledge people need to perform effectively in the workplace.
Training Packages are a key resource for registered training organisations (RTOs) in the delivery of structured, accredited training.
