Risk Assessment Framework

Section 157(4) of the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (the Act) requires ASQA to apply a Risk Assessment Framework in performing its functions.

The Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Jobs and Workplace Relations approved ASQA's Risk Assessment Framework on 16 June 2011, on behalf of the Ministerial Council for Tertiary Education and Employment and in accordance with section 190(1) of the Act.

This Framework is based on the existing AQTF National Guideline for Risk Management (within the AQTF National Guidelines for a Registering Body).

ASQA will apply the principles and protocols of the Risk Assessment Framework in managing compliance risks of for ASQA registered training organisations.
